Black Angus History
The BonHaven Angus herd was established in 2004.
The cattle run under extensive rangeland conditions on the foothills of the Stormberg Mountains. The farm is located 50km North of Tarkastad. The environment is harsh and often unkind. Therefore it takes the right type of female to thrive under these conditions. The cattle receive only the standard licks and supplements given to commercial cattle in the area.
The foundation females came from the Mequatling herd. Influential sires include Mequatling Maxwell 01449 and Mequatling Detonator 05358.
We are excited to be using National Champion De-Panne Maxima 076 and the world renowned SAV Net Worth 4200 in our herd this year.
