Red Angus History
The BonHaven Angus herd was established in 2004.
The cattle run under extensive rangeland conditions on the foothills of the Stormberg Mountains. The farm is located 50km North of Tarkastad. The environment is harsh and often unkind. Therefore it takes the right type of female to thrive under these conditions. The cattle receive only the standard licks and supplements given to commercial cattle in the area.
The foundation females came from the Mequatling, Veejay, Aucdeen and Essenkay herds.
Influential sires include Mequatling Chief Running Bull 03175, Mequatling Royal Flush 0636 and BonHaven Victory Tune 0664.
